A smooth new sipping stop from the people that brought you Milk and Marmalade, Firebug is a bar, bistro and restaurant in one in a gorgeous light-filled two-floor space on the pleasant Passeig de Sant Joan boulevard. Antique suitcases have died a noble death in order to grace the counter of the sturdy slaloming bar, eye-catching rugs and cushions with bright ethnic patterns have been liberally scattered around both decks, and dusty hardback tomes of Spanish classics convey a welcome air of sophistication.
Passeig de San Joan is becoming the city’s foodie heaven with many great brunch places to choose from. Firebug is one of them! Located close to Arc de Triomf this is the perfect spot for a brunch before enjoying a walk down to my favourite park, Park Ciutadella.
Firebug has delicious tapas and a cozy, tastefully decorated space with an outdoor patio, main floor and upper dining area. I thoroughly enjoyed their local huevos vegetarian dish as well as other tapas. The staff were super friendly friendly too!
There are a lot of options to choose from, from eggs benedict to Turkish eggs or bagels. The outside seating area is quite big, compared to other similar spots. Service is quick too. 💯
The food was very good and the staff friendly. We ordered the burger and the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and the were both as we order them. Our dessert almost brought us to tears… well done guys 😍
